Provided is a drum-type washing machine which is obtained with reduced cost and which is configured so that, during low-speed rotation, fluid is promptly pressed against a portion of the outer periphery of a balancer chamber, the portion being located on the side opposite an eccentric load. The configuration reduces vibration during the low-speed rotation to effectively reduce a sloshing phenomenon. A drum-type washing machine (1) is provided with: an outer tank (40); a drum (20) which has a cylindrical shape with a circumferential surface, the drum (20) being disposed within the outer tank (40) so as to be capable of rotating about a horizontal or tilted axis; and a motor (50) which rotationally drives the drum (20). The drum (20) is rotated to centrifugally dewater laundry received in the drum (20). The drum-type washing machine (1) is also provided with an annular fluid balancer (30, 30A, 30B) mounted to the peripheral edge of an end surface of the drum (20) and having one or more hermetically sealed annular balancer chambers (31) in which liquid is sealed. Each of the balancer chambers (31) is provided with a partition wall (32) which divides a part of each of the balancer chambers (31) into an inner peripheral section and an outer peripheral section.
