PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pigment dispersion liquid capable of preparing aqueous pigment inkjet ink capable of recording printed matter exhibiting high color development, high chroma and high glossiness, and excellent in preservability.SOLUTION: An aqueous pigment dispersion liquid for inkjet contains a pigment and a pigment dispersant. The pigment dispersant is composed of a graft copolymer and/or a block copolymer, each of which contains a polymer chain A and a polymer chain B. The polymer chain A contains 20-60 mass% of a constituent unit derived from a first cycloalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate, 10-35 mass% of a constituent unit derived from (meth)acrylic acid, and 5-70 mass% of a constituent unit derived from another (meth)acrylate; and the polymer chain B contains a constituent unit derived from a second cycloalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate and/or a constituent unit derived from a (meth)acrylate or a vinyl monomer having an aromatic ring.
