The device (1) has a workpiece turret (10) that is rotated around a main rotational axis (A), and that is mounted on workpiece retainer (21-26) around spindle axes (A1-A6). Workpiece retainer surfaces (31-36) of workpiece retainer are provided with rotationally symmetric surface curvatures (K1-K6) around the spindle axes, such that the surface curvatures of workpiece retainer surfaces are made different. The workpiece retainer is driven around the spindle axes. An independent claim is included for a method for processing lens blanks of spectacle.
