发明名称 Procédé de traitement des plaques d'accumulateurs
摘要 676,318. Accumulators. MELINKOW, N. Jan. 2, 1950 [Jan. 18, 1949], No. 19/50. Class 53. Accumulator plates that have become sulphated are regenerated by charging them in a solution which reacts with the lead sulphate to form an insoluble lead salt and then discharging them and again charging in a solution which converts a part of the lead salt into lead hydroxide and subsequently into lead peroxide. The first charging solution may consist of ammonium carbonate which converts the lead sulphate into lead carbonate, ammonium sulphate being formed simultaneously. The accumulator is then discharged and again charged while caustic soda is added gradually which converts a part of the lead carbonate into the hydroxide and then into the peroxide. The accumulator is then washed out and filled with normal sulphuric acid electrolyte. Instead of ammonium carbonate the bicarbonate or cyanide may be used and caustic potash or ammonia in place of caustic soda. Substances which decrease the surface tension of water such as sulphonates and sulphonated derivatives of alcohols may be added to the charging solutions. The process may be used to protect new plates against sulphation.
