The retaining wall module (1) has a storage surface (3) which is held by a holding device (8) and supported relative to the base (9), and is impermeable for the medium (2). The storage surface has a flexible carrier layer (4) and flexible seal layer (5). The carrier layer is connected at two spaced-apart areas of the holding device. The holding device comprises the connecting sections (10) which are bar-shaped and are connected with the carrier layer. The sealing layer is formed as a flexible impermeable layer for the medium. An independent claim is included for mobile damming wall.
