COMPRESSOR OIL SUMP HEATER

The device i.e. belt (22) has an electric heating cord (28) to surround an outer surface of an oil sump of a compressor. A connecting unit connects the heating cord to an electric power source. The connecting unit includes a thermostat secured to a fixing unit of the heating cord, and placed at the outer surface of the oil sump to mechanically deform in order to electrically disconnect the source and the heating cord when the oil temperature is higher than a predetermined value, and electrically connect the source and the heating cord when the oil temperature is below the predetermined value.
