PURPOSE: A high-speed decarburizing method of a stainless steel AOD(Argon Oxygen Decarburization) refining furnace is provided to increase the liquid fraction of slag formed in AOD and increase the decarburization speed by making a part of CaO-SiO2-Cr2O3 slag used in an electric furnace remaining in the previous process and reusing the remaining slag in the AOD. CONSTITUTION: A high-speed decarburizing method of a stainless steel AOD refining furnace is as follows: Slag of molten steel tapped from an electric furnace preceding AOD refining partially remains. The proper basicity of slag in the beginning of AOD is controlled to 3-6 by increasing the slag liquid fraction of an AOD device using the remaining slag during the AOD refining. The proper liquid fraction of slag in the beginning of AOD is controlled to 0.4-0.5. The amount of remaining slag in the electric furnace is controlled to 0.9-5.0kg per ton of molten steel.
