The method comprises passing a milk product through a processing equipment executed with several openings from a retentate side towards a permeate side, and forcing the milk product through the processing equipment by an insert feature moved in a rotating arrangement along a retentate-side boundary surface of the processing equipment. The insert feature is moved between a boundary surface of the insert feature that faces the processing equipment and the retentate-side boundary surface of the processing equipment along the retentate-side boundary surface. The method comprises passing a milk product through a processing equipment executed with several openings from a retentate side towards a permeate side, and forcing the milk product through the processing equipment by an insert feature moved in a rotating arrangement along a retentate-side boundary surface of the processing equipment. The retentate-side boundary surface of the processing equipment is swept at a frequency of 0.1-1 Hz by the insert feature. The processing equipment has a rigid body executed with the openings of predetermined size and geometry. The openings are executed in a cruciform shape with uniform diameter, where the opening diameter is 30-200 mu m. An independent claim is included for a device for processing fermented milk products.
