A container 12 extends in an axial direction and has a valve 14 with a permanent seal 16 fluidly sealing the valve to the container about its entire perimeter, a channel 18 bypassing the seal 16 and having a first opening outside the container and a second opening selectively sealed from a volume defined between the valve and a plunger (32, Figure 1) by a resilient seal 22 located behind the permanent seal, movement of the plunger increasing pressure in the volume and the seal being moveable to allow fluid communication between the channel and volume on the pressure exceeding a threshold. The container may be a nasal dispenser for delivered a metered amount of medicament. The permanent seal may be formed by RF or heat welding, adhesive or due to an elastomeric material. Ribs (13, Figure 3) may prevent the valve coming out of the container. The resilient seal may comprise a pair 22a, 22b of flexible elements extending part of all of the way around the valve. The channel may be L-shaped or T-shaped (Figure 3). The opening of the channel may be provided with a spray head, nozzle or other dispensing device. |
