<p>PURPOSE: An air purifier having an automatic ventilation alarm function is provided to automatically indicate when ventilation is needed with a sensor technology combined in the air purifier purifying indoor air. CONSTITUTION: A ventilation alarm system includes a sensor unit, a determining unit, and a display unit. The sensor unit measures the value of an index to show the degree of air pollution. The determining unit compares the index value with a reference value and gives an order for turning on a ventilation alarm. The display unit displays the index value measured in the sensor unit and notifies that the ventilation alarm is turned on by changing the color of the display unit or sending a voice message from a speaker to a user of the purifier. The system includes an input unit to input information about the size of a room or a window. The system includes a calculation unit calculating time for ventilation.
