The drive shaft has a drive shaft section rotatably coupled with another drive shaft section by a sliding piece (1). The sliding piece includes a shaft-like element (2) comprising a longitudinal toothing (5) and connected with one of the drive shaft sections. The sliding piece includes a hub-like element (3) comprising another longitudinal toothing (9) and connected with the other drive shaft section. The shaft-like element is inserted into the hub-like element. The longitudinal toothing of the hub-like element is made of thermoplastic material.
