NOVEL MICROALGAE CHLAMYDOMONAS REINHARDTII KNUA021 AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FATTY ALCOHOL AND FATTY ACID FROM THE SAME

PURPOSE: Novel microalgae chlamydomonas reinhardtii KNUA021 (KCTC12066BP) is provided to produce hexadecenol (C_20H_40O) which is the fatty alcohol of a high value, the fatty acid of C_16-C_18 and biodiesel. CONSTITUTION: Chlamydomonas reinhardtii KNUA021 (KCTC12066BP) is microalgae which produce hexadecenol and a fatty acid of C_16-C_18. A manufacturing method of the hexadecenol and a fatty acid of C_16-C_18 comprises: a step of cultivating chlamydomonas reinhardtii KNUA021 (KCTC12066BP); and a step of extracting the hexadecenol and a fatty acid of C_16-C_18 from the culture medium.
