PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool including a mechanism that electrically stops power tool operation. SOLUTION: Electric scissors 1A include: a first switch 11 that outputs a signal for controlling the operation stop of a motor 5; an auxiliary trigger 12 that operates the first switch 11; a second switch 13 that outputs a signal for controlling the operation of the motor 5; a main trigger 14 that operates the second switch 13; and a control part 10 that stops the operation of the motor 5 when the first switch 11 is turned off due to the displacement of the auxiliary trigger 12 to a non-operating position.
