The method involves generating an electronic document from an electronic image, where the document is linked to an identifier. An image of the document is displayed to a remote location of an authorized person e.g. pharmacist, and the document is signed by the authorized person by a predefined entry into an input device i.e. computer keyboard. The document is linked to the identifier and signed. The authorized action is executed by the device when the document is stored in a secure memory. The identifier is uniquely attached to another identifier.
