PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, preventing fixing creases and turbulence of an image even in the case of printing using a thin and large-sized paper sheet. SOLUTION: In a guide surface of a fixing device introducing guide member, the downstream side ridge line of the guide surface is formed in such a curve that the central part in the width direction of an image recording material is recessed to a pressure roller side from both end parts of the ridge line when seen from the nip plane of a heat roller and a pressure roller to have the following positional relationship. The most downstream end in the direction of carrying the image recording material of the guide surface of the fixing device introducing guide member is located on the heat roller side with respect to the nip plane including a nip point of the heat roller, which intersects perpendicularly to a straight line connecting the heat roller and the center of the pressure roller, and the pressure roller, and the leading end of the image recording material guided by the fixing device introducing guide member comes into contact with the heat roller earlier.
