PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for a vehicle brake system being carried out miniaturization compared to conventional vehicle brake systems, and further being improved in versatility. SOLUTION: An input device 14 for a vehicle brake system includes: a master cylinder 34 for generating hydraulic pressure by the input of an operation from a brake operation element 12; a stroke simulator 64 being communicated to the master cylinder 34 by a hydraulic pressure way, while being provided in parallel with the master cylinder 34 and for artificially imparting the operation reaction force of the brake operation element 12 to the brake operation element 12; and a valve unit 300 equipped with a stroke simulator shut-off valve 62 which intercepts flow of the hydraulic pressure way prepared between the master cylinder 34 and the stroke simulator 64, wherein the master cylinder 34, the stroke simulator 64, and the valve unit 300 are integrally formed.
