The construction element (1) has a base plate (2) that is made of a composite material. A thin-film solar cell (6) is arranged at one side of the base plate, for generating electrical energy. The base plate is composed of two covering layer (3,4) between which a core layer (5) is arranged. The thin-film solar cell is attached to one of the covering layer. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) method for manufacturing construction element; and (2) building.
