The device (D) has an oblong support foot (5) maintaining twin wheels (4) with respect to ground (6) and comprising lower and upper parts connected with each other by a rotating connection that allows the upper part to rotate freely with respect to the lower part around a vertical axis (Z-Z) of the foot. The foot is mounted on a mobile support unit, and a vibration unit vibrates a landing gear. The support unit is moved in a horizontal displacement plane, and the vibration unit includes a drive unit (9) to rotatably drive the wheels around an axis of a double axle (3).
