PURPOSE: An ultrasound probe and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase safety by arranging a connection part capable of applying an electric signal to a piezoelectric material. CONSTITUTION: A sound absorption layer (10) is installed in the rear of a piezoelectric material. The sound absorption layer prevents image distortion. A first connection part (13) is installed at least in one side of the sound absorption layer. The first connection part is electrically connected to the piezoelectric material. A first electrode layer (15) is formed in the front of the sound absorption layer.
