PURPOSE: A screen mirroring method and a device thereof are provided to be applicable for a mobile terminal by reducing the battery consumption of a device and improving the usability of the device. CONSTITUTION: A screen mirroring operation is performed in between a source device and a sync device (410,418). The source device confirms if a media content playing operation is required during the screen mirroring operation (420). The source device performs the streaming of media contents using the sync device when media content playing operation is required during the screen mirroring operation (420-438). The source device terminates the streaming operation of the media contents with the operation of a user or the completion of the playing of the media contents (441-448).
