METHOD OF AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION OF BLURRED IMAGES

A method of automatic identification of blurred images consists in calculation of functions in window of specified size for each point, plotting a graph based thereon and its quantitative estimation by means of dispersion for the identification of blurring type. Modified Sobel operator is used for calculation. Obtained image is edged, and blurring with fixed radius is used alternately with different angle. A degree of similarity between alternately blurred image versions and original is used for plotting of a graph with use of root-mean-square deviation in logarithmic scale. For quantitative estimation by means of dispersion for blurring type identification used is a criterion calculated by formula:.
