摘要 FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: method involves illuminating the surface of an object with optical radiation, receiving and recording brightness of the reflected optical radiation of elements of the surface of the object, converting the optical radiation to an electric signal, followed by storage and analysis thereof. The method employs illumination of the surface of the object with collimated beams of optical radiation from two mutually perpendicular directions. The shape of the object is determined using expressions given in the claim and including values of video signals in the image of the elements of the surface of the object from two mutually orthogonal directions and observation from a direction which coincides with one of the directions of illumination; the number of lines and line elements, for which is measured a third coordinate in the image of the surface of the object, the scanning pitch of the surface of the object along coordinates OY and OZ, respectively.EFFECT: resistance to various types of coating owing to recognition of objects with both a diffusing coating and a directed-diffusing coating, and broader information value of channels of optical and optical-electronic recognition systems.1 dwg
