The invention relates to the combination of organic acid salts with at least one active substance of plant origin, preferably essential oils, partially protected by vegetable fats and/or oils that prevent said active substances from being digested by stomach enzymes during the digestive process. Sodium salts of a short-chain acid, preferably butanoic acid, are preferred. The preferred essential oils are ginger, piperine, oregano, garlic, thymol, carvacrol, cinnamaldehyde and/or any of the combinations thereof. The organic acid salts combined with essential oils, protected by vegetable fats and/or oils, are used as powerful promoters or stimulants for animal growth, as organic bactericides for controlling pathogenic bacteria present in said animals, and as modulators of the immune response thereof. |
