PURPOSE: A signal processing device and a semiconductor device are provided to reduce time required for storing and recovering a large amount of information. CONSTITUTION: A signal processing device comprises a signal processing unit (10) and a pointer (21). An input stream composed of multiple input data is inputted to the signal processing unit, and the signal processing unit outputs an output stream composed of multiple output data. When the preferential management of a second task is requested during a first task, the signal processing unit stores a value of the pointer and performs the second task. When the second task is completed, the position information of the output data to be outputted next the first task is computed using the value of the pointer, and the position information of the first input data is computed.
