The present invention is related to devices using a mixture of gases that is formed by a combustible gas such as acetylene or butane gas and oxygen, for heating, cutting and welding metals, particularly referring to a torch handle integral with flame arresters. During the operation of blow torches or torch handles, the flame is set back with the consequent dangers of explosion in case the flame reaches the cylinders of gas and oxygen. In order to prevent the flame from setting back to the inner portion of the blow torch, some devices have been developed, such as: the so called flame arresters, which are manufactured in a metallic powder material that is sintered, porous and with ways having sudden changes of direction; the flame arresters are operated under a principle where the flame that is set back to the inner portion of the blow torch is normally suffocated by the porous structure and the ways with sudden changes of direction. The torch handle of the present invention comprises h eads for supplying gases, nipples for the inlet and outlet of gases, valves for regulating the flow of gas; O-rings for sealing the coupling of the mixing head with other parts of the torch handle; lower caps useful as a base for a Gerlock packing and arresters so as to form the arrester arrangement.
