PURPOSE: An electric compressor is provided to be equipped with a magnetic gap part between a rotor core and a weight balance, thereby reducing the loss of driving torque caused by the leakage of magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION: An electric compressor includes a driving unit (3), a compressing unit (5), and a control unit (7). The driving unit is fixed to the inner periphery of a housing of the driving unit and generates driving power by the interaction between a stator including a wound coil and a rotor. The compressing unit compresses refrigerant flowing from the housing of the driving unit by the compression of a circling scroll, which synchronically turns by the rotatory driving power generated in the driving unit, and a fixing scroll. The control unit is electrically connected to the stator of the driving unit and controls the operation of the driving unit. |
