PURPOSE: A VoIP processing method of a mobile terminal in a mobile communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to process a VoIP packet through a dedicated audio path which is separated from an audio processing path which is provided by an operating system of a mobile terminal by providing the dedicated audio path to process the VoIP packet. CONSTITUTION: A Radio Frequency (RF) communication unit (710) transmits and receives a VoIP packet. An audio processing unit (750) processes audio signals. If an audio engine receives a request to process the VoIP packet, the audio engine (720) determines whether a dedicated audio path to process the VoIP packet exists. If a dedicated audio path exists, the audio engine directs a dedicated VoIP processing interface for only the VoIP packet to process the input and output of audio signals.
