<p>PURPOSE: An actuator is provided to improve the degree of design freedom and the performance of designed products by installing a pressure vessel with excellent degree of freedom to serve as a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: An actuator comprises a pressure vessel (10), a variable piston, and a pressure inflow and outflow pipe (23). The pressure vessel serves as a cylinder. The variable piston is composed of one or more soft sealing membranes (20) Pressure fluid flows into and out from a space formed by the sealing membranes and the pressure vessel through the pressure inflow and outflow pipe. The sealing membranes are partially attached to or separated from the inner surface of the pressure vessel by the inflow and outflow of the fluid. When the separated portions of the sealing membranes are attached to the inner surface of the pressure vessel, the variable piston can be driven.</p> |
