PURPOSE: A vertically foldable partition assembly for expanding a balcony and a balcony expanding method using the same are provided to maximize balcony expansion effects without overturning a wall and encroaching a balcony area by a removed wall. CONSTITUTION: A vertically foldable partition assembly(1) for expanding a balcony comprises a foldable partition(10), a string winding rod(32), a rotating member(44), an operation string(31), and a vertical guide rail(20). The foldable partition is arranged in between a living room and a balcony and to be stored in the ceiling of the balcony by being folded and overlapped. The foldable partition is partitioned into an upper wall(11) and a lower wall(12). The foldable partition is connected to a hinge part(13). The upper and lower walls are overlapped by spinning the string winding rod to wind the operation string around the string winding rod and fold the foldable partition. |
