摘要 PURPOSE: A vehicle parking detecting system using an ultrasonic sensor is provided to accurately detect a vehicle entering into the parking lot or parked vehicles by comparing the initial parking lot floor detected value of the ultrasonic sensor with the distance information of a measured reflected wave, a received signal strength, and a change rate of detected information. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle parking detecting system using an ultrasonic sensor(S) comprises an ultrasonic sensor(100) and a parking management server(200). The ultrasonic sensor emits ultrasound towards the parking lot floor and receives the reflected wave. The ultrasonic sensor draws the time information, received strength, and signal width from the received reflected wave and produces the initial sensing data. The ultrasonic sensor compares the time information after producing the initial sensing information, signal width and received signal strength with the initially sensed information. If the change rate exceeds the set range after the comparison, the ultrasonic sensor produces the detected information of the parked vehicles and transmits the same with the preset identification data to the parking management server.
