PURPOSE: A communication terminal, an operating method thereof, and a system including the same are provided to actively notify a distress situation by using a GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver without using a water sensing sensor or a distress occurrence alarm button. CONSTITUTION: A GPS receiver(23) receives the location information of a communication terminal by communicating with a plurality of GPS satellites. A CPU(Center Processing Unit)(21) receives the location information of the communication terminal from the GPS receiver. The CPU determines the distress condition of people according to the elevation of the communication terminal. When the distress situation of people is determined by the CPU, a wireless communication circuit(25) wirelessly transmits the location information of the communication terminal.
