The device has upper and lower electrodes (3, 4) spaced from each other and in contact with a textile (2). An electronic measurement circuit (M) measures an impedance e.g. resistance and capacitance, of the textile in contact with the electrodes to determine a drying level of the textile according to the measured impedance. The electronic circuit comprises a measurement bridge connected to a microcontroller. An indicator or an indication or display screen indicates or displays the drying of the textile in course of time.
