PURPOSE: An online game user account protection device and a method thereof effectively protect a user's account by providing the user with a locking feature for an online game without logging out from the game in order to protect his/her account. CONSTITUTION: When a key input to protect a user's game account is detected on a client device, a locking unit (10) receives data about the key input and switches the user account into a locking state.
