The device has an input connector (11) and another input connector for connecting input plugs of flows of electrical signals and for diffusing the flows into the device. A set of output connectors (20) connects an output plug and diffuses one of the flows or another flow respectively by one of the connectors or another connector. A user interface (50) is arranged to define states in which the flows of signals from the connectors are selected so as to be diffused on another output connector and a third output connector different from the latter connector defined by one of the states. An independent claim is also included for an adapter device connected between a shunting device and a modem-router.
