摘要 PURPOSE: An azimuth correction method and device for a terrestrial magnetism sensor included in an object are provided to apply 3 shaft micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) terrestrial magnetism sensor to an unmanned vehicle requiring the correct azimuth correction, thereby accurately calculating the azimuth in respect to a forward direction of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An azimuth correction method for a terrestrial magnetism sensor included in an object is as follows. When the operation of the object is requested, the terrestrial magnetism sensing signals are detected by checking a change of a magnetic field (110-112). A horizontal state in respect to the movement of the object is detected by using the detected terrestrial magnetism sensing signals (114). The detected horizontal state is converted with a horizontal coordinates system so that biaxial components of the planar magnetic vector prescribed on a plane parallel to the object are detected (116-118). A magnetic vector relation expressed in an oval shaped equation form is induced from the detected planar magnetic vector components so that a correction factor is extracted (120-122). The distortion of the terrestrial magnetism sensing signals is corrected by using the extracted correction factor (124).
