PURPOSE: A production method of packed cooked rice with economical price is provided to produce the cooked rice without a water soaking process. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined amount of rice is supplied to a container with an opening on the upper side (S2). Cooking water is supplied to the container (S3). The rice is cooked by heating the contents inside the container (S4). Seasoning liquid is added to the cooked rice (S5). The container is sealed (S10). The contents inside the container are pressurized and sterilized (S11). The rice is inserted into the container without a water soaking process. Additional water is added to the container with the seasoning liquid after the cooking process.
