PURPOSE: An indexing method in road network environment easily predicts moving direction of a moving object by taking in account road network characteristics, manages moving objects by the road segment by dividing roads, and thereby reducing indexing update costs. CONSTITUTION: A space is divided based on a road network (S110). An identifier of the divided space is stored (S120).
