PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator capable of life thereof being prolonged by carrying out regeneration treatment even when a hydrogen-permeable membrane deteriorated and capable of maintaining the amount of required hydrogen gas while carrying out regeneration treatment.SOLUTION: A hydrogen generator includes: a plurality of hydrogen gas separation units; a state detection means for detecting operation states of the respective hydrogen gas separation units; a deterioration determination means for determining deterioration states of the respective hydrogen gas separation units based on at least one detection result selected from the detection results which are detected by the state detection means; a regeneration treatment means for regenerating the respective hydrogen gas separation units based on the deterioration states determined by the deterioration determination means; and an operation control means for independently operating the respective hydrogen gas separation units to satisfy the amount of required hydrogen gas. |
