PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity reception device capable of achieving better expansion of a reception area by stably performing diversity switching even in a weak electric field.SOLUTION: A diversity reception device includes antennas 1, 2, an electric field intensity detection section 71 which detects electric field intensity of a reception signal, an electric field state detection section 72 which detects an electric field state, a switch section 3 which switches the antennas to be used for reception, and a control section 10 which outputs a switching signal used for antenna switching to the switch part 3, and the control section 10 includes a storage section 12 storing averaging time constants by electric field intensities and diversity switching thresholds by the electric field intensities, and an arithmetic section 11 which averages electric field state values showing electric field states detected by the electric field state detection section 72 using an averaging time constant corresponding to an electric field intensity detected by the electric field intensity detection section 71, and compares the averaged electric field state value with a diversity switching threshold corresponding to the detected electric field intensity, and outputs a switching signal on the basis of the comparison made by the arithmetic section 11. |
