The vehicle has vehicle seats (2) including fastening elements (16) e.g. detent projections, which are connected with fastening elements (15) of a protection part (11). The protection part is movably mounted at the seats in a transverse direction. An intermediate space between the seats is partially and/or completely covered in the direction in a transverse position of the protection part. The space is covered in another transverse position of the part lesser than the former position in the direction. The part is arranged outside the intermediate space in the latter position. The protection part is made of metal or plastic.
