PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger joint capable of preventing foreign matter such as dust, dirt, or sand from accumulating on a water cut-off body for an expansion gap.SOLUTION: A finger joint 1 includes: a pair of finger plates 5, 5'; and water cut-off bodies 11, 12, 13 for an expansion gap inserted into the expansion gap 3 below the finger plates 5, 5'. A first protective cover 8, which has a guard plate 8a arranged between the finger plates 5, 5' and the water cut-off bodies 11, 12, 13 for the expansion gap, and extended from one road base 2 to another road base 2', and a second protective cover 9, which has a guard plate 9a arranged between the finger plates 5, 5' and the water cut-off bodies 11, 12, 13 for the expansion gap, and extended from the other road base 2' to the one road base 2, are relatively movably overlapped each other corresponding to a change in intervals of the expansion gap 3. A fire-resistant layer formed by laminating refractory materials on the top face of the guard plate is provided. |
