PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a circuit.SOLUTION: The induction heating apparatus includes first and second inverters which convert an output of a rectification circuit to a high frequency power and apply it to first and second heating coils, current detection means for detecting an input current from an AC power source, and control means for controlling conduction time of a plurality of semiconductor switches in the first and second inverters according to an output of the current detection means. The control means operates any one of the first and second inverters, and when determine that an input current of the operated inverter reaches a targeted value and a load on the heating coil connected to the other inverter is a heating adaptive load, starts operation of the other inverter. The first and second inverters are caused to perform simultaneous operation so that a total current of the first and second inverters becomes a targeted value. |
