The present invention inhibits the leakage of exhaust gas from inside a fuel cell module to outside a fuel cell system. A simple airtight container (4) that constitutes an SOFC system houses a fuel cell module (1), an exhaust gas processing unit (2), and a heat exchanger (3). An SOFC package (7) houses the simple airtight container (4) and forms an auxiliary machine chamber (8) around the simple airtight container (4) by partitioning. An intake hole (41) is provided in the simple airtight container (4). A blower (17a) disposed in the simple airtight container (4) takes in the air from the inside of the simple airtight container (4) and supplies the air to the air electrode of the fuel cells in the fuel cell module (1) by means of a supply passage (17) for cathode air. By the blower (17a) taking in air from the inside of the simple airtight container (4), the inside of the simple airtight container (4) maintains a lower pressure than the periphery (auxiliary machine chamber (8)) of the simple airtight container (4).
