The method involves measuring of displacements of locations within a patient with ultrasound with respect to one or multiple pulse excitation. The shear wave velocity is calculated as a function of the displacements of the locations. The quality and dimension of each of the displacement are determined. A shear wave span is calculated as a function of the displacements. A shear wave velocity image is displayed. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a non-volatile computer-readable storage medium with stored data; and (2) a system for visualization of related information in the ultrasonic shear wave imaging.
