<p>[Problem] To prevent the appearance of a surface portion of a subject in the visualization of an observation site present deeper than the surface of the subject in a photoacoustic visualization method. [Solution] A photoacoustic visualization device (10) having means (13, 21, 22) for emitting pulsed light toward a subject, detecting photoacoustic waves issuing thereupon from the subject, and creating photoacoustic data, wherein provided are a region detecting means (50) for establishing a surface vicinity region of the subject on the basis of a photoacoustic wave detection signal, and a correcting means (51) in which information on the surface vicinity region established by the region detecting means (50) is attenuated (or even removed) in the displaying of an observation site.</p> |
