A device for acquiring a plurality of identification or authentication codes marked on a product, comprises a box in which is integrated a sensor and a display. The sensor comprises illumination means and means for taking pictures in a plurality of domains of the luminous spectrum. A chip controls the sensor so as to carry out a quasi-simultaneous acquisition of images of a plurality of reactive codes in the plurality of the spectrum of the luminous domain which are situated in the field of the sensor at a given instant, a program for analysis of the images of the plurality of codes and of checks of consistencies of each code taken individually and of the various codes acquired quasi-simultaneously between them so as to establish an item of information relating to the validity of the plurality of codes is embedded in the computer. The display receives from the chip instructions for displaying the information relating to the validity of the plurality of codes. The device preferably comprises means of communication with a remote database comprising data relating to the codes so as to confirm or deny their validity.
