A hybrid works vehicle provided with: a work device; a travel drive device; a lever operation amount detection part for detecting the lever operation amount of the control lever operated in order to control the work device; an operative state detection part for detecting the operative state and non-operative state of the work device; a pedal operation amount detection part for detecting the pedal operation amount of the accelerator pedal; a travelling state detection part for detecting the travelling state and non-travelling state of the travel drive device; and an engine control part for controlling the engine rotational speed on the basis of at least one of the lever operation amount and the pedal operation amount, in accordance with the difference between the operative state and the non-operative state and the difference between the travelling state and the non-travelling state.
