PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for performing switching with no interruption, without transmitting signals in parallel on a plurality of paths, and further, without increasing the scale of a circuit of a transmission device.SOLUTION: A transmission device receives a packet from a device on an upper stream side, and transmits the packet to the transmission device on a reception side by way of one selective transmission path along a plurality of transmission paths. It includes output control means for outputting a packet that is received to at least one selective transmission path among first transmission path and second transmission path, storage means for holding a predetermined threshold time, and control means which, relating to a selective transmission path, in a case where switching is made, from the first transmission path to a second transmission path having a delay shorter than that of the transmission path, performs switching of a selective system for the output control means if it is detected that a next packet is not received before the threshold time expires when sending is performed through the output control means after receiving a packet from the device on the upper stream side. |
