PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric power generation element that can reduce current leakage between electrodes and also secure output per unit area.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric power generation element comprises: an emitter electrode 1 which emits thermal electrons from a thermal electron emission surface 1a when heat is applied by a heat source; a collector electrode 2 which moves the thermal electrons emitted from the thermal electron emission surface 1a of the emitter electrode 1 via a facing surface 2a; and an insulation layer 15 wedged between the emitter electrode 1 and the collector electrode 2. The emitter electrode 1 and insulation layer 15 and collector electrode 2 are laminated and form a laminated structure 14. Further, the same plane 14a of one laminated structure 14 and the same plane 14a of another laminated structure 14 are disposed to face each other, and one laminated structure 14 and another laminated structure are disposed on the same substrate 13 such that the same plane 14a will be disposed vertically to one surface 13a of the substrate 13. |
