PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which can output a video as if it advances to a desired advance direction, a receiving device and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 includes: a camera section 101 for imaging a subject and sequentially generating image frames; a camera revolving section 103 for rotating the camera section 101 around a prescribed rotational axis; and a video storage/distribution control section 106 which sets information showing an advance direction of a video corresponding to the image frame and determines whether a direction to which the camera revolving section 103 rotates the camera section is matched with an advance direction shown by the information. When the video storage/distribution control section 106 determines that they are matched, it outputs the image frames which are sequentially generated in the camera section 101 in a sequentially generated order. When it determines that they are not matched, it outputs the respective image frames which are sequentially generated in the camera section 101 in an order opposite to the sequentially generated order. |
